howdy fam, hows it goin? hey, thats good to hear. things are going well here. we have set another baptismal date with a lady from mexico that has been investigating since the first week we got here, 2 august for her, her name is maria elena martinez. the other one, yahaira, has hers set for 17 august, which is her birthday. we are still working with heather and viktor, who are doing well. they are the odd couple, heather, the giant samoan, and victor, the tiny mexican. the work is going well, despite minor setbacks, such as saturday night we blew a tire on the way to an appointment. im the driver this transfer and my companion hasnt ever changed a tire, the task fell to me, so i was laying in the dirt in my black pants and white shirt so i could jack the car. i got pretty dirty, and it looks as if i may have to finally dry-clean my suit... dang it. we got a 3rd companion with us, elder hyrum gene. we call him elder hygene... he is made out of cardboard and stands just under 6 feet tall. he is in our apartment becuase during apartment checks the last week of last transfer, mine was found to be the cleanest in the whole mission. he stays with us and he brought his snow cone machine! i have eaten so many in just a week, ive gone thru 2 bottles of cherry flavor. he has a journal that i am supposed to write in for him (ugh) and i have been cracking some good jokes like, "when i got here, i found out i had the quaking elm disease from my last apartment, which was scary. i thought i was going to lose a limb" or, "when we blew a tire, it was so scary. i was in the back shaking like a leaf" hehe, get it? he is made out of wood? whew, i need to write more of these down. so anyway, we have met some cool people this last week, and we met with this mom and her daughter who are pretty interested, and with this group of 6 people living in the same apartment and we got a return appointment with them, and they seem pretty interested too. we went to the doctor this week so elder seaman could get his shoulder checked out, he hurt it a long time ago and he is seeing the doctor. its not hurting him, he just doesnt have a lot of motion range with it. thats about all with us, so i guess ill talk to you next week.
