howdy. Email and letters are fine, i just need to get with it and write some letters. ill send my camera card soon prolly, i dunno. Tell dad that my area is near Lomita, and there is an L3 comm building near it, i thought that was cool. i got your package about 2 days ago. when i meant black backpack, i kinda meant mine, the new one, the one without wholes all over, but watevs. thx for the ramen, i have a ton now. there was also a tube of bubbles in the box which got all over everything, so now your seive-like backpack smells too :) oh well, i dont really need it now, i just wanted to have it in case i get into a bike area, dont worry about it. now that im here and dont have to worry about my luggage making weight (by the way, i should have brought 2 suitcases, i had to fit everything in 1 and make it weigh 50 lubs, what a joke. o well, made it with a good percentage of my stuff) feel free to send me food. i like food. we ate with a member last night, they had tacos, they had like 4. i had 8. wimps. our area has a spanish and english ward, so we have to hop between 2. and oh ya, im a bilingual missionary now, which they conveniently forgot in my call letter. and could you send me a copy of my patriarchal blessing, it should be in my smallest box in the garage or wherever. make sure you tape it up again when youre done plz....and if matt takes anything else... o you dont want to know. i hear he has taken over my stuff, i guess thats ok if you have my clothes and all my stuff that isnt in a box. tape them back up when you get those...things out plz, i dont want mice in them. ok dont have anything else to say. paz, calmanse. Welcome to LA

tell matt good luck for me. LA is pretty awesome, my first area is mostly white, and were bi lingual elders too, so we mostly teach white people, the spanish ward is tiny. However, we have taught a lot of lessons in spanish. listening and speaking was easy in the mtc cuz my teachers used good spanish, here everyone slurs and mumbles and this one old lady had no teeth so you couldnt understand she was even talking except here neck skin wobbled. oh well, it will all come. its warm here, which is cool. our area is one that only sisters had been in for a long time, so now the apartment we are in is covered in long hair, its small and gross but you get used to it. My companion is elder fennell, hes a 5'2" korean guy, pretty cool. we havent baptized anyone but weve taught a lot of lessons so hopefully something will come out of that. there are so many different people here, totally unlike Kamas or even 90% of utah, its not a bunch of middle class crackers. ive taught latins from all over, a russian, korean chinese japanese polynesian, so many different people. its cool, everyone is usually pretty nice cept the white people. ive only had one door actually slammed in my face. usually people at least talk with you for a minute before the close the door on you, but one guy opened the door, yelled something i dont say while he slammed it then we could here him twisting the locks on his door. i thought it was funny. ok, im standing at this computer and my legs are tired.
