"Behold, I am a disciple of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. I have been called of him to declare his word among his people, that they might have everlasting life."

B wishes YOU a merry Christmas.

hehe, number one reason why there are so many churches? when we were riding our bikes back from a dinner, we passed through inglewood, and there was a set of duplexes with a 4x4 sign over the door that said "Latin University of Theology" must have been for do-it-yourself ministers. thats all. happy freakin christmas everyone.

p.s. if a mexican from nicaragua who only knows the numbers 1-10 in english shows up at home, dont worry. his name is anastacio.

B reaches a new low...in more ways than one.

hmmm kay. i ate a raw egg last week. nasty. i didnt swallow it as i drank it in because i thought it was less than it actuallly was, so it filled my mouth and i had to strain the nasty yolk and yolk sack through my teeth and take 3 huge swallows. gross. the taste wasnt horrendous, but the viscosity of it going thru my teeth but not separating and getting stuck halfway down the tube while the other half was in my mouth was horrible. fun tho.

we ate dinner with a couple we had eaten with once, so she said she wanted to give us something new (spaghetti was first) and she pulls out a chicken enchilada and said "have you ever had a chicken enchilada?" the answer in my head was, yup, sure have, and it didnt look like this. it was real. anywho, it was good, the first time ive had "mexican" food in a long time (mexican made by americans, not even similar to real stuff) then she pulled out some bread with cheese and jalepenos on top and said, "i put this mexican topping on, i hope you like mexican."
yup, sure do.

we were tracting one day and i was picking at my unibrow, and elder barfuss wanted to pull it out, so i let him pluck it as we waited for someone to answer the door. fingers only.

we told one of the recent converts , alice, this 70 year old used to be gangster, that the plural of mooses was not mooses, but meese. then we gave her the example of goose and geese, so she bought it and we have since then heard her say it.

elder barfuss got sick, the double dragon. its where it comes out of both ends. fun-nee. i called sis blackburn to let her know, and she isnt the type to smile or crack a joke, rather serious, but i was laughing too hard when i left her a message that i couldnt get out what i was trying to tell her. when she called back the next day she told elder barfuss she hopes i get sick because of how much i was laughing.

B aspires to be a director.

ok... laughables of the week.

1. there is an elder that is in our ward named elder bustamante, the most humble person ive ever met. hes from chile and has been on a mission for 26 months, and he goes home dec.10 hes been in this ward for 7 months, so you think people would know hes from chile... elder barfuss and i tease him a bit about being mexican, because everyone knows that spanish speakers are mexican right? well, of course, just like all the other people not from mexico, he doesnt think its very funny. one night we were eating dinner with a family in the ward and he was brought up as the subject of discussion and one of the parents gives us a weird look and asks "hes from mexico, right?" without hesitation, we say, in unison, "yup" and the person says, "ok, thats what i thought"

2. elder barfuss had surgery on his toe last week, he had a nasty ingrown toenail. i asked the doctor if i could film it, which he declined, but he let me watch anyway. it was cool.

3. one night as we were walking to our car, we turned around to go talk to this group of people on the other side of the street. we walked up and we said "hey we want to talk to you about jesus" either they had prepared already what they were going to so, or they were some of the fastest thinking liars ever, because without missing a beat, one girl says "im a druid" and the other "im a buddist gay." i still find no reason to not believe them, those things dont come to your head in an instant and its really hard to keep a straight face after that. we couldnt. we told them that those were bad excuses to not learn about jesus, but they didnt believe us.

thats about it. thanksgiving was good. ate a lot. our zone won the turkey bowl for p-day. hope all is well.
